Valkyrie profile take sets in the age of the Norse Gods, so expect a medieval-like storyline with some fantasy to spice things up. If you like medieval stories like Claymore you might like this. Expect some plot twists also. And again, it might not be much appealing to you if you haven't seen the first one, but it is still a great game.

Star ocean 3: TTEOT takes place in the distant future. It's a mix of sci-fi and a bit of medieval-European background involving inter-stellar travels and remote, underdeveloped planets. The plot can get pretty confusing near the end. The coolest thing from Star Ocean 3 is the battle system which is an active battle system where you hit enemy by pressing a combination of buttons to activate skills. Another feature is the item creation where you can create items to help you in your journey; from healing stuffs to super-powered uber weapons.

Just check another game site such as gamefaqs.com if you wanna have more info. At the very least, they can give you much more accurate description.

Hello. Well, to be honest the first Valkyrie Profile offered a deeper plot than the second one. And yes, the first one is the best one, although the second one has superior graphics and gameplay. I suppose it depends on your taste tho, if you ever played the first one and enjoyed it, I strongly suggest to get the second one. Why don't you rent one before buying and see if you'll like it or not.


You're mistaken, I said the best RPGs for me are Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile, Star Ocean series are still the best. :)

Well I thought it was, Inuyasha will always be one of my all time favs. The only thing that I didn’t like about it was it has no ending they just stopped making new episodes >.<. I kind of gave up hope on them picking back up on it too =/
